With only one race in the season left to go, that doesn’t mean it’s the end of it. I’m going to go to the mountains in Japan in search for snow and ski hard! I always plan on visiting a lot of places after the races are over, but I’m planning on going back to my hometown this year as well.
My hometown is in Hokuto City, and I’m hoping my friends from MCV (friends from Nozawa Onsen) will also be able to go with me. I want to make a ski session at the approach rail from the lodge at Niyama Kogen with them. A few snowboarders joined us in this session last year but I hope this year we can do the photo shoot at the same time. |

| My hometown is Hokuto City, in North Island, next to Hakodate. It’s a nice and mellow town. HAKODATE is only a 15 minute drive and it’s also a nice city. The night view of the city is famous but this is really awesome. But the best place to watch the night view is the view from the ski lift in Niyama Kogen Ski Park. I’ve grown up with this view so it gives me great relief. I strongly encourage all of you to visit Hokuto and Hakodate! There are a lot of secret night view places too. |

Besides that, the food there is also delicious! Seafood is best in the nation. Us “Dou-nan (southerners)” people hang out in Hakodate. I have a feeling Hokuto is going to become a more fun place to be. “Dou-nan” is a great place so I hope all lovers and families visit the place. It’s the best place to be if you want to spend a mellow time.
But let me warn you about the bad manner of the drivers there. If you mind every bad manner, you’ll go crazy. To start with, they won’t let you in front of them. Even when you let them in, they’ll never thank you. This is Hakodate Style!!!! |

| If you go to Hokkaido, do please try the “KOAPPU GARANA” and “KATSUGEN”. They’re sold at practically every convenience stores and supermarkets. I grew this big drinking it! Also, try the YAKITORI lunch box of Hasegawa Store, a convenience store in DOU-NAN. They’ll broil the chicken for you on the spot and it’s just mouthwatering good! Hokkaido is full of fabulous places. Man I want to go home!! |
