Hi you all.All the races for the World Cup before the Olympics have ended, and I managed to get myself on the victory stand at the end. That was good.
I was really in a good shape recently. I knew I had something in me on the first run at Adelboden, and I planned to give it full power so I wasn’t afraid of going off course…but didn’t expect to really go out of course!
I started to realize that it’s not so important to be first seeded and after that, I felt comfortable giving it my best shot every time. |

| Well, I guess some people might say that I’m just a big mouth after going out of course in Wengen and being a slow finisher at Kitz, but I myself was in a hefty good condition. I made a promise before the start of this season that I would enjoy a gaze from the victory stand once again so I did my best! |

Anyway, Kentaro placed high and Yuasa seemed like he was in a good condition as well, and Iku-san (Ikuta) was good halfway into the race so the Japan National Team is in a fairly good shape.
I don’t know how many days it is until the Olympics, but I know it’s coming up so I’m praying to the god of the mountain for my motivation to go way up and to come to its maximum on the day of the race. Right now, we are taking a few days off since it’s after the race and I’m enjoying my night life but believe me, my motivation is well kept.
I almost forgot, I have 2 downhill races to compete in the European Cup before the Olympics so I canユt cut off my motivation! |

I haven’t been in any speedy races recently so I’ve gotta do downhill. I’m probably going to be the last starter in the race , but I want to make a full attack to the course, just making sure I ski at the limit of making an injury. In any situation, I’m not gonna forget to give it my full power until the season ends. Olympics is not the goal, we’ve got the World Cup coming up in Japan as well.
This is reeeeeeeeeeally important!! The Japanese hardly ever get to see the World Cup and to the people who are coming to see it, we have to show them the best. I want to knock out the non-supportive people by showing them my ski and my good result. In all words, I’m gonna do it! |

I won a race overseas for the first time in my career… but I dropped and broke the trophy.
It became all pointed and dangerous, and on top of that, it’s a great shock. I collect these things… I also collect race bibs and World Cup IDs. For future memories.
If you ever come across receiving a trophy, be sure not to roll it on the ground just because you are excited you won it.
Watching the broken pieces make me love it more though. |
